Marici Saxes are a dynamic London-based saxophone quartet from the UK, bringing together four distinctive musicians united by a passion for collective creativity and musical excellence. Formed in 2010, the quartet’s innovative approach to performance has earned them a strong reputation and growing popularity, resonating with audiences across the UK and internationally.


 Alongside a busy UK recital and festival schedule, Marici Saxes have performed internationally, including appearances in Croatia at the World Saxophone Congress, in Italy by invitation of composer Michael Nyman, and on a highly successful and extensive tour of China. In 2020, the quartet toured Belgium and France and recorded and released their second album, Origin, on Saxophone Records. The group received a Help Musicians ‘Do It Differently’ Award for this album, with additional support from the Clarinet and Saxophone Society of Great Britain. More recently, Marici Saxes were awarded a Royal Philharmonic Society Enterprise Fund grant in association with Harriet’s Trust.

 No strangers to live radio broadcasts, Marici Saxes have appeared on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune in an extended live interview and performance. The quartet were also invited to Classic FM studios to film content for their online library and social media platforms. Their recordings have featured on BBC Radio 3’s BBC Introducing, including a work by baritone saxophonist Josie Simmons broadcast for International Women’s Day. Marici Saxes have attracted millions of online listeners, with over 2.5 million total video views, including a widely shared performance of Piazzolla’s Libertango. With over 7,000 followers on Facebook, they continue to engage and delight audiences worldwide with their vibrant sound and accessible classical repertoire.
